This place is okay. Epic Roasthouse, across the street, has better drinks and food and I would recommend that place instead of Americano. Most people who come to Americano on Friday afternoons are Googlers as the Google office is above the restaurant. The happy hour deals are okay but the drinks are not good. The views are also iffy - it just depends. Epic Roasthouse has better views and tends to be warmer (if you sit outside).

Went here for happy hour. Amazing patio and a lot of pretty people. The service, however was so slow and the staff so unpleasant that I'l never come back. Evidently this is a well known fact. Sad, cause it really is a great outdoor spot.

Nice atmosphere, the patio is one try on a nice day. The selection of beers and spirits is impressive but I was disappointed that a few of the beers were not available, limiting my choices. The food is well prepared but the pizza dishes were hit and miss with odd proportions of cheese to crust. Nice kick back after work spot, plenty of space to have conversations.

Got here around 5pm & there were still a few open tables for 2 outside on the patio, sweet! There's plenty of patio seating for large groups too. Right on the Embarcadero, close up view of the Bay Bridge, perfect for hump Weds. Luckily the weather was nice. Not too windy. And they do have heat lamps. I got a cocktail and my man had a Sierra. We shared a few small plates off of the 3 for $21 menu. The padron peppers were salty & lime-y - they were yummy! Our total bill was $40 w/o tip. Good vibes, def a great after work spot.

The outdoor patio is a great happy hour venue for a good-size group. Make sure to get there a bit earlier though if you want to all sit down. Brussel sprouts were fried to crisp and the pizza was pretty good too. Go here on a nice day so you can sit outside, enjoy the view, and people watch.

It's been awhile since I've been here. Good for happy hour esp on the big patio if it's sunny. Crowd can get a bit douchy at times. Forgot how yummy the bar bites are: chile lime cashews with a hint of smoked paprika, roasted Brussel sprouts with aioli sauce is the bomb, and a calamari and fava bean dish in a tomato sauce.

I went here for happy hour drinks last Friday and it was a lot of fun. This is a beautiful venue, in Hotel Vitale, right across the street from the water and ferry building. The ambience was upscale but not snobby. The crowd was professional and laid back as well. It was pretty crowded for happy hour and there were only two bartenders working so it took some time to get our drinks. That being said the Mojito I had was very good. The patio was open (only until 6:30 because they had an event) and we found seats pretty quickly even though we had a fairly large group (around 8 people). We just had two rounds of drinks before getting moved from the patio but I will definitely be returning!

The Vitale hotel is unique in the city and offers views that no many other hotels do. The Americano offers a wide menu of Italian and California -fusion food. The location is perfect, and this is the ideal scenario for a hot day afternoon or happy hour after work, the patio opens up and they have bars outside so it's fun, happening and great way to socialize with San Franciscans. On the weekends is a little more quiet but I really recommend their signature drinks and their burger! Try out, you won't be disappointed. Just went back this week with the great weather in the city and it is the best spot for an afternoon with friends. Hope to go back there before weather cools down. Perfect outdoor space! But they should have the bar outside as they sometimes do on Fridays... service was a little slow because of that.
