This was a really ugly game for the Jaguars offense. Nothing particularly worked correctly. The passing game was horrible, mainly I agree because Blake Bortles was off, but also when he wasn't the receivers didn't catch balls, didn't get open, and the offensive line obviously felt the effects of having multiple starters out of the game.

I wasn't celebrating a playoff berth last week when the Jaguars beat the Patriots and I'm not panicing about one now that they looked terrible against the Titans (which they often do), but there are things about his offense that have to get fixed if they are going to be as good this year as they were last year.

This pick by the #Jaguars at 29 surprised me for the reasons it surprised everyone. They don't need help at DT right now, but it is a chagne of mindset when you are AFC South Champions and a quarter away from the Superbowl and the goal becomes not "win now' but "keep your talent level high" Drafting a DT that will be a starter in a year or two is far more important when your current starters are older, high priced free agents.

Coach Doug Marrone of the #Jaguars continues to impress me as being a very good decision by Tom Coughlin and Shad Khan to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars. He is intelligent and down to earth and no nonsense. And he can rectie Shakespeare!

This pretty much sums up my feelings for this season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. No one could have convinced me before the season started that we would have been one play away from winning the AFC Championship against the Patriots and going to the superbowl. That just wasn't in my scenarios for how the season would go.

I was hoping and praying for a good showing an improvement on 3-5 win seasons which seemed to be the new ceiling for the team in the past decade. A winning season was the goal and going 10-6 and winning the AFC South was greater than I could have hoped for. Beating the Steelers twice in their own building was icing and playing well and challenging the Patriots for the championship was great.

Next year the expectations will be higher and there are never any guarantees in the NFL but we now know that this team has the talent and the leadership to compete at this level. We need to return to the expectations of the late 90's and expect this team to be back in the championship game again and again.

Great season Jaguars!

When you are supposed to be a premiere defensive player on a team that has given up 74 points in two games to an opposing QB you should probably either compliment him for his win or just say nothing. Calling him names makes you look silly and really calls into question your own ablity..if you give up 74 points to a bad QB what does that make you as a defensive unit?

This might be a sign of the pending apocalypse...The Jaguars..the long suffering Jaguars if they win the next three games could be competing for one of the top two spots in the AFC playoff seeding. How did that happen?
