Just arrived from Rio where I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life (maybe the top one?): I climbed the west face of the Pao de Acucar mountain (aka Sugar Loaf). This is a 5.9, 260m (780ft) classic route in the most famous Brazilian wall.

Man, this is crazy. The weather was perfect and the view is unbelievable. You have the Baia de Guanabara and Enseada de Botafogo in your right ... Praia Vermelha and Copacabana in the other side. And in front of you ... Morro da Urca, Floresta da Tijuca and the Cristo Redentor standing at the very top of Corcovado.

Moreover, I had the opportunity to climb with Jean Ouriques (http://www.rokaz.com.br/), one of the most prominent sport climbers in Brazil. So, yes, he was leading all the pitches while I was top-roping and enjoying the experience :-)
