I have been going to Azalea Salon & Spa for 4 years now. It used to be Alias Salon and Spa, but it's way better under the new ownership. Johnathan has been my stylist for years. He does awsome work. I have seen some of his female clients before and after and they look great. Makes me wish I had girl hair.. ok not really. The experience is relaxing and enjoyable, he doesn't yack my ear off, but is very personable. Sometimes I almost fall asleep in his chair. The salon is very elegant and relaxing with surprisingly resonable prices for La Jolla. An elecellent experience all around, and continues to be. You gotta stop by.

I hadn't had my hair done since I moved to San Diego a month ago, so I decided to try this place in La Jolla/UTC area. If found out about it on google and there were a lot of great review. I went there and it was probably the best haircut of my life. The employees were all very nice and they even offered me coffee, water or tea. The atomosphere was very nice and pleasing to the eye. The design was stylish and modern and they even had good music on. I have found my new salon.

i am amazed that doing one simple haircut could be such a pleasant experience. I am very happy with the quality of their service. I had to have a haircut while on a business trip and they did a magnificent job at a really good price. Aza did a great job!!

I moved to San Diego 4 years ago and I have been struggling trying to find someone I can trust my hair to. Last week I went to Elias Salon and Spa looking to have highlights and a haircut. ANTHONY took care of me and explained step by step what my hair needed to have done to achieve what I wanted. He never rushed throughout the process and worked with the level of perfection I would expect. The highlights are the BEST job anyone has done on my hair. The haircut is also wonderful and low maintenance as I don't have to do much after I wash my hair. Also, their prices are not bad at all. I won't go anywhere else from now on. ANTHONY is just phenomenal!!

I flew down to San Diego for a business meeting and needed a haircut and was short for time, I went to Azalea salon to get a haircut. First of all I was very impressed with how professional the receptionists were, they escorted me to the owner (Aza I believe) who wanted to make sure I have the best experience at the salon. Anyway, she was very compotent, cut my hair very well and was finished within the time she promised. My business meeting went really well, I even received a complement from one of my co-workers. I definitely recommend the salon to all the guys who want a good haircut, good price and compotent hairstylist to give Azalea a try. You won't be disappointed.

I decided to write this review after reading a bad review posted here, just because I didn't find anything to fault them for. Good place for a male student to go in my experience because the $30 a men's haircut costs is reduced to 18.50, I think, if you're a student. And I found it to be the quality of a $30 cut, better than Supercuts would usually be, or some similar place.

I came to Torrey Pines from out of town for a conference my husband was going to this week. There was a formal event that I wanted my hair styled for. Nusha (spelling?) was so nice and helpful. She was able to curl my very curl-resistant hair and it looked fabulous. The curl held all night. Thanks for a great experience!

I never write a review for any place but this one I had to. Let me start off by saying I am very surprised that La Jolla would allow such place to have business in the area. It really lowers the area's reputation. I asked for a wash and a blow dry, the lady who did my hair was convinced that my hair was "crazy". Yes, I have curly hair but if I can blow dry it within 15 minutes on my own and get it stick straight without a flat iron, there is NO reason a licensed hair stylist shouldn't either. After $35 later, I walked out with an embarrassing frizzy mess. Thank god there is a new place opening right across from them which hopefully will put them to shame. SAVE YOURSELF FROM THIS WASTE OF PLACE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
