Cheerful, rustic decor matches the down-home & reasonably priced Greek cuisine.- Google
"...the "Sheeps Milk Dumplings, Tomato, Pine Nuts, Spicy Lamb Sausage" dish."
"Nice atmosphere and private room downstairs."

Went here once with my gf and friend. Liked the look of the place and the menu. The interior is pretty nice in the typical modern rustic way so popular nowadays. The waiters were good, not pushy. Pretty relaxed atmosphere. They gave us free bread to start. The bread was really tough and hard. Don't know if it's supposed to be like that. Then we got an eggplant appetizer to split. It comes in this tiny Dutch oven. Was really tasty and tasted like lasagna. Well I ordered the lasagna for the main and it came in the same tiny Dutch oven as the eggplant appetizer. I was a bit disappointed that it was the same size. It also tasted very similar to the eggplant. They were both good and rich which justified the small Dutch. However I'd like to see a main bigger than the app. Tried me gf pesto pasta and it was decent. Much lighter than lasagna as expected. Overall it was ok. Definitely room for improvement. Will come back because it's one of the nicer restaurants in sunnyside.

The best octopus I have had in my life, period! I would go back just to have octopus. Our server was a delight, friendly, informative and courteous. They dont get 5 stars because of the chicken sandwich (souvlaki), it had 3 bites size pieces of chicken, but filled with lettuce and veggies

Excellent Greek restaurant. Warm, friendly atmosphere, with great service. Dine downstairs if you can; it makes for a more private/intimate experience.

Kefi is one of my favorite Greek restaurants in New York City. I have eaten here several times and I have had enjoyable experiences every time. On my last trip to the restaurant, I ordered the Octopus and it was pretty good; not my favorite dish that I have eaten at the restaurant but interesting nonetheless.
