From an artist/management side, a real joy to do a show here. Staff was friendly and took care of us, great private rooms, soundboard never made a mistake, lighting was on point, dedicated merch area on the second floor, I could go on. Highly recommend

My wife and I recently saw EMA perform and we both enjoyed the venue. The roof top bar was a great way imbibe on some reasonably priced, canned adult beverages. The bar staff was top notch and we didn't have any issues with the bouncers at the door. We're looking forward to seeing another show at the Rock N Roll hotel in the near future.

Went to Rock & Roll hotel, used their "valet service" and ended up getting a $50 ticket in the mail. Obviously the valet threw the ticket out before he returned our car to us! Called Rock and Roll Hotel - manager refused to speak to me, then claimed the valet service was not related to the hotel. I asked for the name of the service - they refused to give it to me! I would never visit this seedy establishment again!

I am writing this review to the OWNERS in regards to the BOUNCER only. We went out sober expecting to drink at this bar with all of our friends on 2/16/2014 at 1:10AM and this guy rejected half of our friends and let half in. We found this very odd. He was shaking very hard while holding our id's (We all thought he was on drugs if not withdrawling). We are going to not only tell everyone that reads this review but also beware going to this bar at night. It will not be worth your time. We thought it was going to be a great place to go to, but apparently they only let the drunkest in. BUYER BEWARE!!!! YOU NEED A NEW BOUNCER YOU KICKED OUT HUNDRED OF DOLLARS FOR NO REASON AT ALL. WHEN YOU HAVE A DRUGGIE RUNNING YOUR DOOR IT REFLECTS ON YOUR BUSINESS. AND YOU BUSINESS PAYS YOU BILLS.

Fun place. Love the different levels and decorations. The beer selection is pretty good. I came during the winter so the rooftop was closed. I'd like to come during the summer. Shows are pretty cheap too.

Spacious venue. I've never had a problem getting a drink (major plus). I wouldn't come before midnight, the crowd is slow to start (potential side effect of being on H street), but I love the DJ. I participated in the Adult Spelling Bee. Fun in groups, but the announcer was a bit of a douche. Nevertheless, check it out!

The bouncer, was hateful. He does not know how Puerto Rican licence looks like and that is even a US licence. He "threaten" me to call the police because my licence was "fake", I hope he had done it! He was racists and discriminates towards, Puerto Rican's and Hispanics!! I don't recommend it!! Don't go there!!

The only times I've been to RnR Hotel was for shows and for that it's an OKAY venue. The bottom floor where the bands perform is long and narrow and hardly ideal when there's a large turn out for a show. If you don't want to worm your way in, you'll most likely end up being pushed back infront of the bar or near the entrance to the hall. Which doesn't give you a whole lot of options to be able to even see the performers. Also, a huge deterrent for me has been the sound quality. I can't really say if it's because of the layout of the room or if it's lack of ability from the staff handling the sound, but almost every show I've been to has run into some issue and didn't nearly sound has good as other venues where I've seen the same bands before or bands with a similar sound. Everyone else who I've spoken to who frequent the other major venues in town have agreed on this. The upstairs has a nice layout though with the bar and the lounge next to it. I guess you can call it "hispter" like because it's not a pop club or some upscale bar, so it must be something those young kids like nowadays! Pretty good beer selection though.
