Check out this cutie, Bogey!!
Bogey presented to ‪#‎SEVN‬ for holding up his right paw, having difficulty walking and neck pain.
After a neurological evaluation, Dr. De Pompa deemed it necessary for Bogey to undergo diagnostics (MRI) to determine the cause of Bogey's pain. It was determined Bogey had a mild slipped disc. Surgery was not necessary and after strict cage rest, Bogey is feeling much better!
Check him out being as cute as ever and helping ‪#‎TEAMSEVN‬ get some work done!

Last night, Southeast Veterinary Neurology, along with Boehringer-Ingelheim, hosted a continuing education lecture titled "Practical Seizure Management". The lecture was given by our very own Dr. Korberg at Soyka in North Miami.
We had a full house and a great time! We would like to thank all the veterinarians who attended the lecture last night. We hope you had some great takeaways!

Check out this very interesting case! Charlotte, a 12 year old cat, presented to #SEVN   for a three week history of lethargy & imbalance.

Dr. De Pompa performed a neurological exam on Charlotte and localized her problem to her cerebellum. Diagnostics were performed (MRI) and a mass was discovered as the cause of her symptoms. Check out the MRI image at the top left of our photo.

Dr. De Pompa, who has a special interest in intracranial surgery, fully removed the mass attached to Charlotte's cerebellum. Her post-surgery MRI is located on the bottom left of our photo.

A few hours after surgery, Charlotte was comfortable, walking, eating and drinking!

Patients, just like Charlotte, usually recover extremely well after brain surgery.

Pictured here with our little unicorn, Cali, Mavy has been a treatment room technician at ‪‎SEVN‬ since she started and is "mommy" to all of our patients while they are in her care. Mavy works non-stop to keep our patients comfortable, cozy, and happy while they are at SEVN and we all love her for it! Keep up the great work! We love you! #SEVN   #VetNeurology   #YouTheBest

SEVN would like to take a second and welcome Kelleen Johnson, a veterinary student visiting from Western University College of Veterinary Medicine! Kelleen will be working closely with ‪#‎TeamSEVN‬ for the next month as she finishes up her last semester in veterinary school. Check out her bio below:
"I was born and raised in Port Orange, FL, and am excited I was able to come home to FL for my senior year ☺. I am the oldest of five children. My father is from Wisconsin and my mother is from New York, making me a Green Bay Packer’s fan and a New York Yankees’ supporter. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) majoring in animal sciences and minoring in zoology. I have two cats, Frankie and Rocky, one dog, Stubbie, and one fiancé, Rob. Rob and I became engaged during a surprise vacation trip he planned to Hawaii in June 2014 and plan to marry after school this July 2016. Small animal medicine, exotics, and epidemiology have captured my interests and my heart. I’m excited to be finishing my senior year and to work with the staff and neurologists at SEVN".
