I am Retired army col, retired ophthalmologist moved to this area to be with grand children.I have known cataracts I knew it has to be taken out.As an Ophthalmologist I was aware of all possible complications which makes me nervous..I researched the internet and my old friends recommended Dr. Nisha Patel. On my first visit I was impressed by the staff ,technicians were very efficient Dr Patel examined me and discussed all the options, even she was aware who I am she explained possible complication and we discussed initial laser procedure to facilitate cataract removal and lens implant.Day of surgery she talked to me and my wife, the staff at Reston surgical center were great. They took me to laser room I was amazed how was comfortable precise and extremely quick, then took me to to remove the already cut cataract by laser and put the implant it was quick and painless I will say Dr. Patel is expert in her field and has magic hands,. post opt. I had no pain or even foreign body sensation. My vision is 20/20 without glasses. My wife witnessed the progress, She made appointment to see Dr. Patel for her cataract surgery.I highly recommend Dr. Nisha Patel for cataract surgery. .

Recently my wife and I were in Dr. Patel's office. Both of us are patients, and we were commenting to each other that Dr. Patel is the most service minded physician that we have ever met. She is concerned about every detail of the patient's experience in her office: from the reception area, to the pre-examination prep, to the examination, and finally to the billing and follow up. Likewise, the staff is equally help, courteous, and highly professional. We are thankful for the care and service we receive from Dr. Patel and her staff. Thank you.

One year after my PRK with Dr. Patel and I'm 20/10! The entire procedure was excellent (from my first visit to the final follow up). Her staff, lead by Jackie, are friendly, VERY professional and worked hard with my insurance on all my visits, copays, prescriptions - allowing me to focus on the treatment without a money headache. If you are considering getting laser eye surgery, I strongly encourage you to visit Dr. Patel's office.

Dr. Patel is fantastic! I have never had an eye doctor that I was partial to, but that has changed. She has always seen me within minutes of my arrival, and seems to actually care about her patients. The staff is great and was very helpful in explaining what the difference is between medical insurance and vision insurance and how that affects my costs. I am now going to get PRK done with her, and I wouldn't trust my vision with just anyone. Highly recommend Dr. Patel's office!

Showed up early hoping they would take me in on time, they actually got me in no more than five minutes after I showed up. Her assistants were really nice and nurses were professional. Dr Patel definitely made me feel like important patient.

Dr. Patel is a wonderful doctor - yes, like all doctors, she gets behind, but, that's what makes her great - she takes the time to hear your issues and makes sure that she understands what is needed. Her patience and knowledge insures proper treatment.

Very BAD. I scheduled as a new patient. I waited 1 1/2 hours, then finally walked out. I went to Dr. Chong, Ophthalmologist, who is on the 3rd floor same building. I Googled other eye Dr.'s in the area and called them explained the situation and they told me to "come on down." (All of this was done while I was waiting) Dr. Chong was very thorough and I highly recommend. Not once did anyone come to tell me that Dr. Patel was running behind, etc. I thought this was really bad going in as a new patient.
