Announcing the LA Makerspace Scratch Squad!

The LAMSS is an elite team of young people trained to provide coding classes with Scratch. If you are between 10-18 years old and good with Scratch, we want you to apply for the Squad.  As a member of LAMSS you will teach Scratch classes for other kids who are eager to learn. We will provide you with the materials and train you how to teach. It is a great way to do service for the community and have fun!

To sign up - http://www.lamakerspace.com/scratchsquad

Don't know what Scratch is?  Well then you can request a class! Get a group together (e.g. school group, scouts, church groups, clubs, teams - any group) and submit your request to have the LAMSS come to you!

Learning Scratch is a great way to participate in the Hour of Code! (code.org)

Our goal is 100 Scratch classes this year - you can help us get there!

With very few exceptions, every job includes repetitive routines—paperwork, meetings, answering e-mails, etc.—that are tedious and dull at best. At worst they sap your attention and energy. On the other hand, for many people there is comfort and safety in following their daily routine.
