Like it or not, winter is here ... at least where I live. And I'm not finding it much fun.

This post in the #AdSense help forum should be of interest to nearly all AdSense publishers - especially those who depend on traffic from social media.

From this publisher's experience, you might learn why we often recommend not having all of your traffic from social sites.

When exactly did I agree to this? ... and yes, I read all user agreements, sign up agreements, yadayadayada before doing or signing up for something.

This is going to cause a shit-storm with almost every Canadian I know.

Changes and updates for Adsense!

There are already recent changes to some of the AdSense guidelines and requirements, and it looks like more will be coming. All publishers should keep up-to-date by following the Inside AdSense Official blog (https://adsense.googleblog.com/).

#Orillia is having an amazing event - much more planned than usual for Remembrance Day. It's definitely worth heading downtown and taking your kids/youngsters/teens.

Haven't seen many of these recently, but the AdSense forum was inundated with them a few weeks ago. Just in case they figure out another way in, read this.
Beware fake Google support numbers!

Scammers have been posting "support" phone numbers in the Google product support forums and across the web.

Google does not offer phone support for most products, and when they do, they usually have you submit a form and call you back.

The best way to find support:
1. Open the Google Support Center at support.google.com
2. Click the product you need help with to open that product's support center
3. If direct support is available, you should see a "Contact Us" link either at the top of the page, or on the left menu on mobile.

Here are Google Contact resources for some of those products that do offer direct assistance. Note there is no general contact email or phone number for general Google support.

If you have a Google One account, you can also get direct support for a number of Google products that don't normally offer 1:1 support:

Important updates coming to AdSense. I have to admit, I think it's about time that they started reviewing each new site a publisher ads to their account. In the past, too many non-compliant sites were added.
