Instead of bread
Will you have a hard time living without bread? Ooopsies are a good option. It’s a “bread” without carbs and can be eaten in a variety of ways.
6–8 depending on size.
3 eggs
100 grams (3.5 ounces) of cream cheese
a pinch of salt
½ tablespoon fiberhusk / psyllium seed husks (can be excluded)
½ teaspoon baking powder (can be excluded)
Separate the eggs, with the egg whites in one bowl and the egg yolks in another.
Whip the egg whites together with the salt until very stiff. You should be able to turn the bowl over without the egg whites moving.
Mix the egg yolks and the cream cheese well. If you choose, add the psyllium seed husk and baking powder (this makes the Oopsie more bread-like).
Gently fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mix – try to keep the air in the egg whites.
Put 6 large or 8 smaller oopsies on a baking tray.
Bake in the middle of the oven at 150° C (300° F) for about 25 minutes – until they turn golden.
You can eat Oopsies as bread or use them as a bun for a hotdog or hamburger. You can also put different kinds of seeds on them before baking them, for instance poppy, sesame or sunflower seeds. One big Oopsie can be used for a swiss roll: Add a generous layer of whipped cream and some berries. Enjoy.

This is one more option for me. have been baking Flax meal bread rolls and I make a flax meal pizza crust that works well.

Rules & Advice  -
#fading_suns How does this look for Symbiots.  A monster from Fading Suns that are well.. symbiots.  I'm running like a monter ability akin to Undead.  What do you think?

Symbiots are mutants  They have no uniform build and can vary one form to another.  They have a base template of whatever was used to create them plus the Symbiot Ability

Symbiot Ability

Symbiots can communicate telepathically with other Symbiots within Spirit Kilometers.

Hardy: If the beast is Shaken, further Shaken results have no further effect—they do not cause a wound.

Psychic Weakness: Any psychic or theurgic attacks that affect the mind affect all symbiots within Spirit meters.  The other symbiots suffer the affects as if they had the same stats as the original targets.  Wild Card Symbiots use their own stats to resist.
In areas of intense terraforming and blight the Symbiots are -2 to all rolls due to Life Web feedback.

Roll twices on the list below.  These powers are permanent and cannot be changed.  (These are merely suggestions.  You can assign Symbiots whatever powers you wish)
1: Armor
2: Natural Weaponry Str + d6 damage
3: Regeneration
4: Poison barb (Poison Ability)
5: Increased Strength +1D (+2 to Strength related rolls including melee damage)
6: Increased Agility +1D (+2 to Agility related rolls)
7: Increased Vigor +1D (+2 to Vigor related rolls)
8: Size increase +1d4 size (see the growth power p.113)

Some Symbiots have Shapeshifting.  They can appear as normal creatures until they need to fight then they transform into their “war form” which all the powers (see above) activate and become apparent.

So.. while not a fully published game.  I've posted the 1st draft of the fading suns world hack.

Let me know what you think.   It's sans vehicles, monsters and starships.

What rank would you make the requirement for the below?  Also would it be worth it as an edge?

Iron Block
Requirements: Block, Vigor d8+
When making a Full Defense roll each success and raise adds +1 to the defenders toughness.  This can only be used against melee opponents.
Draco-X-RPG's profile photoClint Black's profile photoRichard Ashley's profile photo
You have a point.  Perhaps broaden it to +2 toughness on Defense and + 4 on full defense.  Or maybe just +2 on both.

Hi all,
I wanted to share my micro community with you all.  I'm working on a Savage Worlds Fading Suns hack.  This is where I will track my progress.

For example,  Psi is done with first Draft!  woot!  Need Volunteers to take a look at it.

Im moving in this weekend and it will take a few more days to settle in. :)

Running a Noble villain in an upcoming game.  He has D4 Spirit.

How would that affect the way you guys run a villain?

I'm considering a sniveling whiney noble that has no real control and gets angry alot.  You know, like "Prince John" from Disneys Robin Hood.
Jeremy Puckett's profile photoHans Bothe (Enno)'s profile photoSequoyah Wright's profile photo
Examples of what I would consider Low Spirit Villains include, in addition to Prince John:

Carter Burke-Aliens.

Forget the name, but Daniel Craig's character in Road to Perdition.

W.W. Beauchamp in The Unforgiven. Not a villain but definitely a d4 Spirit character!

Prince Humperdinck-The Princess Bride.

I prefer to use anything on the character sheet to inform a character. That's an exciting part of my creative process. It makes the character a person and mor than a simple collection of numerical values and rules. That's why I play RPGs.

Fan made hacks.  Any lawyers in the house?

So I'm making this hack for Fading Suns.  If I release it to the wild to share what I did, since I'm not selling it, am I covered?

I figured the worst that could happen is a cease and desist.  Am I wrong or could it be worse that that?

Yeah.  I reached out to them today.  I used to work with them so I'm hoping the response will be ok.

What skill would you use for Performance?  Acting, singing. playing musical instruments.. bard stuff.
Markus Finster's profile photoGary Stewart's profile photoRichard Ashley's profile photoDraco-X-RPG's profile photo
These are all great ideas and using Persuassion is an awesome idea and so is think of Performance as a "Knowledge" skill that you can specialize in. I say whatever you think makes the most sense, fits your setting, and is going to be the most fun (and easy to handle mechanically) go for it.

Power points questions.

The points expenditures are mainly balanced against other powers correct?  Is there some mathematical equation to figuring out what they should cost?

Or is it arbitrary?

You might also try checking out the Super Powers Companion, or Necessary Evil. The point buy for the Powers might be helpful in balancing things out.

Me and my wife eat there about once a month. We love it! I've worked in India and the flavor matches well with what I remember. I've had too many bad experiences in other restaurants here in the states. I've made this my go to Indian food location! My wife loves it because she can order the food to her spice level which is not at all spicy. The staff is great and very attentive.
