Norman Farb, a Canadian psychology researcher at the University of Toronto, is at the cutting edge of research that shows what happens in the physical brain when people meditate.  In this talk to the Oxford Mindfulness Group, Dr. Farb presents data that makes it pretty clear: breathing meditation training causes changes in the brain - changes that seem to enable the mind to use bodily emotional information the way it is meant to be used - to guide adaptive decision making.  Dr. Farb is not only a world class researcher but a down-to-earth, funny and entertaining speaker!
