Use Emacs for showing your next presentation

http://www.randomsample.de/dru5/node/190
Recently I've been using TikZ a lot to create nice looking slides for my presentations. However, I also noticed that pretty much all the PDF viewers using libpoppler were unable to correctly render those. The only flawless one was mupdf, but it doesn't have a proper fullscreen mode (at least not ...

Yes, I did test it, but it also uses libpoppler for rendering, and some of the stuff I do with TikZ gets not rendered correctly.

Just pushed huge update to org-caldav:

https://github.com/dengste/org-caldav

Now doing proper two-way sync between #emacs   #orgmode and a CalDAV server, like Owncloud or Google Calendar.
It's funny: after dealing with CalDAV, going back to C++ parsing feels almost relaxing.

My submission to the Beat The Clock contest by +Ableton. These contests are kinda silly, since they're mainly about how many followers you have on Soundcloud (me: 0), and it is already drowning in spam... but anyway, I had fun doing it. You had to make a track in 24h with given live sets by +M83, Junior Boys and Nosaj Thing. I actually spent about 6h on it. I'm still amazed at how fast you can work with Ableton. I very well remember the old days, using my Emu ESI-32... it cost me a fortune and it took me 6h only to upload samples to that thing (I'm exaggerating, but not much).
From May 14th to 28th, download a free Live Pack featuring sounds from M83, Junior Boys, and Nosaj Thing. Use this material to make a new, original track with Ableton Live. But be quick - your track m...

Excellent tutorial on lexical scope in #emacs 24.
Emacs 24. Emacs 24 is going to get a significant feature: Emacs Lisp will natively support lexical scoping. This might haven't impressed you much, and to a certain degree you're right: it does...

#CEDET 1.1 released and #emacs merge news...

https://www.randomsample.de/dru5/node/145
Maybe you have noticed that CEDET 1.1 is released. The most important changes are support for Android and Arduino development, first steps towards proper Java and Fortran 90 support, a context menu an...

Hi Debian, I'm back. I'm so sorry I ever left you. Just installed Wheezy RC1 on my old laptop and am pretty much baffled how everything just works.

Bye bye Archlinux. You're nice and all, but just too much work. Or maybe that's just me getting old...

I'm working again on syncing #orgmode   with #owncloud , and so far I've noticed two things:
- CalDav is a pretty terrible protocol
- OwnCloud's version numbering is not based on reality

#emacs #cedet
OK, let's just directly start with setting this up, because if I talk about CEDET too much, I'm afraid you'll just stop reading. So I will describe how you can get nice completions for Jav...

Rejoice! CEDET is ready for the next #emacs merge (more or less). Pushed the biggest changeset in CEDET's history, now git is balking at #bzr fastexport, Sourceforge's loggerhead frequently errors out, but otherwise, everything seems fine.
