Read author Vic Currier's new book "Good-bye, Lord, I'm Going To New York" -- the historical biography of William Harding Jackson, born in the Belle Meade Mansion ( http://bellemeadeplantation.com/  ), served as the War Department's chief of secret intelligence under Secretary Henry Stimson and Gen. George C. Marshall during WW-II, was instrumental in changing the course of the Battle of the Atlantic under President Roosevelt, became America's top liaison with the British Secret Intelligence Services MI-5 and MI-6, then co-founded the US Central Intelligence Agency under President Truman, reorganized CIA as its first official Deputy Director of Central Intelligence and, later, served President Eisenhower in the US delegation to the 1955 "Big Four Summit" talks in Geneva, and as National Security Adviser during one of the most dangerous years in American history.
