I am a disabled Marine Corps. veteran. The VA bought me a laptop and software for school from The Computer Store of Sacramento. The owner emailed me and asked me my username and password for Microsoft to install Office. I asked him if he gives his username or password to people he doesn't know, and he said no. I told him I don't want to either. So, he told me I would have to install it myself. I said that's fine. When I got home and tried to install it, it was in Portuguese. I contacted Microsoft and they said I would have to get a refund and a different version from the retailer. When I called The Computer Store of Sacramento, the owner answered. When I explained the problem, he first acted like I was lying. When I made it clear that I have nothing to gain (as I am returning the product and going through a lot of hassle), he then told me it was my fault for not giving him my username and password earlier. This store rips off disabled veterans and the Department of Veterans Affairs! Buyer Beware!

One of the few ‘mom & pop’ stores left in Sacramento. Please don’t take that as a negative, but IMO that’s what contributes to their outstanding customer service. Knowledgeable, a willing to help, and fair prices. I have been using these folks since 1990. They have built me power house systems, down to fixing a simple syntax error on a program install. There has never been an issue on fixing/replacing a manufactures defect or warrantee. They are a small crew, so rapid turnaround may be an issue (plan accordingly and they will work with you) – despite this I won’t spend my money any where else!

FIVE STAR SERVICE! I haven’t been one to leave reviews that often in the past but the Computer Store (family owned) is most definitely review worthy. A little over one year ago I had purchased a laptop and printer set-up, and just recently had an issue with the laptop. I brought it back and they fixed it for free with a smile. They stand by their product! THANKS

I have used the computer store for 15 years, both for repairs and to build new machines as I needed them. I have also referred a number of people to their shop, all becoming satisfied customers. Bob R

I bought a computer from these guys in 1999. They were very helpful and steered me to the best bang for the buck hardware, not just the most expensive. I used the computer for about 5 years and it never gave me any problems. They were also very helpful in repairing a seemingly bricked circa 1998 hp motherboard. I am a little disappointed they no longer push AMD product but i understand their position and they still offer AMD based systems upon request. P.S. I really like the 5 1/4" floppy on their sign

I manage 60 desktop pc's in a local retail business. I used to buy Dell's; that was until about four years ago when I took a serious look at the low reliability statistics of my fleet of Dells. Frustrated, I risked bringing two "Computer Store" pc's into my business. They worked flawlessly and maintained stable performance over time. I now buy all of my desktops exclusively from "The Computer Store of Sacramento." Their machines are affordable and rock solid. In fact, I haven't had a single component or machine failure yet. Meanwhile similarly aged, and older, Dells continue to fail at an alarming rate thereby speeding my overall transition to being a happy 100% "Computer Store" pc shop. Cheers to "The Computer Store of Sacramento" for running a tech company with integrity.
