I'll say. At least my squirrel like mind seems to operate this way.

An interesting article for a field that where goal setting is sometimes seen as an essential, or foundational, skill. A colleague of mine developed a tutor training workshop that started with an exploration of how the things we say about goal-setting are often at odds with our actual goal-setting and goal-achieving practices. She did this to point out that our expectations around goal setting for learners may not always be realistic.
