Haven't posted in a while to G+, but thought I'd get back in the swing of things.

This is a photo taken in the Gypsum Hills west of Medicine Lodge, Kansas.   Foreground done with lightpainting.

Always appreciate your comments and shares.

+Josh Bernat 's team was a Finalist in the 2012 AFU Friendlies tournament this weekend in Fayetteville, GA.   This album is photos from Sundays 2 games (both vs the same club...the team they played in the morning met them again in the final).

Some of the actions in these shots are real ballet and the guys look strong!!  I love the expressions on their faces!

fantastic.  I really like the foreground.  It makes the shot so much more dramatic.

This is probably my favorite shot from the studio session with my new baby granddaughter.   Lilliana is 2 weeks old in this picture

Technical details, this was shot with a grey paper background....we just lit it up with lights and used F-stop to make it white.

As always, any critiques, shares, etc are welcome and appreciated!

Story
Tagline
NAV Developer, Photographer, Soccer Referee, Dad
Introduction
Soccer
I'm a collegiate referee through the GISOA chapter.  I've worked matches at every level from NAIA, JUCO and NCAA up to D1 mens.   I also enjoy doing high school games when time permits.

I'm a USSF State Referee, Instructor and Entry Level Assessor.   I also assign for the Sedgwick County Soccer Association and the Evolution Futbol Club tournaments.

Photography
I have recently rekindled an interest in photography (I learned as a teenager with a Kodak Retina and Pentax ME super....wasted ALOT of film).   After 20 years away from the hobby, I've recently jumped back in with both feet.

I'm using Canon gear (with some Sigma lenses) and primarily Adobe Lightroom for post-processing.

Development
After a number of years working in systems management, I went back to my first love and rejoined the programming world.   I spent a few years developing in PHP/mySQL, then moved over to Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision).

I'm currently developing CAL applications in NAV and working a number of projects that involve synchronization between NAV and external SQL Server applications.

Provider agreed to call 20 minutes before arrival so we could meet him at location of repair. He called at 11am stating "I'll be there in 2 minutes" .... when informed that it would be 20 minutes before we could get there he said, "just forget it then and hung up". The technician would not answer a return call and a call to Steve, the manager, got no results. When told that we were between a rock and a hard place because if they didn't come fix our oven today we'd have to wait another 2-3 days to schedule someone else his response was, "I don't care who you pick, why don't I refer you to someone else". So after waiting 3 days to get someone out, they hang up on us and choose not to provide service because we couldn't be there in 2 minutes when we had agreed upon a 20 minute call. The person living in this house will now be without an oven for at least another day while we get someone else.
