Hands-free is not always risk-free! The National Safety Council (NSC) says any phone use, even just cell phone conversation, is distracting and poses a threat to the roads. The NSC concludes that it is not the physical act of holding phones, but the mental distraction of using phones that can cause accidents. Hands-free cell phone use includes earpieces, dashboard systems, speakerphone and any Bluetooth technology. When driving, put the phone away and focus physically AND mentally on the road in front of you!

Today, ARM is pleased to sponsor and exhibit at the 2018 Midstream PA Conference. We had the exciting opportunity to hear from a group of top industry experts including Joe Barone, President of Shale Directories, LLC, and Abby Foster, President of the PA Chemical Industry Council, who shared their knowledge about this region’s resources and opportunities and how they can affect businesses. Midstream PA engages and informs companies about changes in the Midstream field and how to utilize those changes to develop PA business growth. #2018MidstreamPA #Midstream #Shale #OilandGas

Vote for Annapolis Solar Park to win the 2018 Solar Builder Project of the Year!

Solar Builder has narrowed the candidates to only 16 projects, which either overcame odds or positively affected their community. We are proud that Annapolis made this list, as we were hired by the project contractor, EDF Renewables, as the geotechnical and civil engineer of record and completed the site design and permitting. This is the largest solar park constructed on a landfill cap in North America!

ARM has a long-standing relationship with EDF (formally groSolar), not only completing the site design and permitting at Annapolis, but also working with EDF on other solar projects in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and Indiana.

ARM had an awesome time today at the Williams United Way Royal Rumble BBQ Cook Off & Cornhole Tournament! We can’t say we won any of our cornhole matches, but we had fun playing and serving our BBQ for a great cause! The United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania helps to improve the health, education, financial stability, and basic needs for people in the local community.

Well, ARM really isn’t known for our BBQ brisket cooking skills, but that is about to change! We are having awesome time sponsoring and attending the Williams Annual BBQ Cookoff in Tunkhannock, PA today. We are cooking (and sampling) the best of the best BBQ in the area, and cleansing our pallet with craft beer! Wish us luck – we are awaiting the judging panel to see if we will be award-winning pit masters, but we are pretty sure we have the title locked up!

This week, the Annapolis Solar Park was officially opened with a ribbon cutting! ARM was hired by the project contractor, EDF Energy, as the geotechnical and civil engineer of record to complete the site design and permitting for this successful and challenging project, which will help Maryland comply with the state requirement of obtaining 25 percent of their power from renewable sources by 2020. The park, which was built on a closed landfill in Annapolis, Maryland, is the largest solar park constructed on a landfill cap in North America and produces about 24GWh of power annually.
