Checklist To Learn How to Operate a Mini Sewing Machine
#1. The most basic thing you need to do is ensure that it’s correctly threaded and the cloth is placed in the right position before you switch the machine on.

#2. The thread spool should be placed on the threaded spindle and the thread passed through it towards the front of the machine.

#3. The thread then needs to be gently tugged across the thread guider and between the two washers.

#4. Thread the needle with the correctly guided thread, by raising the needle a little if so required.

#5. The next step is to raise the presser foot by raising the appropriate lever and pulling a little length of thread in a direction away from you over the presser foot.

#6. Do ensure that the bottom and side bobbins are correctly threaded too as inaccurate threading may throw the accuracy of the lockstitch.

#7. Position the cloth with seam towards you and place between the presser and the presser foot.

#8. Turning the handwheel clockwise twice will lock the seam and enable you to stitch the fabric flawlessly.

#9. Once all is in the right position just switch on the power button and pull the fabric gently through the presser feet.

#10. Once the seam is stitched to your liking, you can gently pull the cloth towards you and trim the thread close to the stitched material.

#11. You can then leave the excess thread loose in the same direction as when you had started, leaving the sewing machine ready for the next stitching session.

#12. Some mini sewing machines also work with a foot pedal. Do remember to use the foot pedal only when the power is switched off.
