While Rory McIlroy managed to rally and pull off a victory at the TOUR Championship for the FedEx Cup, it's a sad time for golf fans. The King of Golf, Arnold Palmer, has died at the age of 87. His legacy will always be remembered.

Did you catch any of the Deutsche Bank Championship this week?

It was none other than Rory McIlroy who manged to rally and win by two strokes over runner-up Paul Casey. It's his first Tour win since the 2015 Wells Fargo Championship last May, 12th Tour win overall and second Deutsche Bank win. With it he moves into the top 5 in the FedExCup standings.

There was a lot of great golf being played this past weekend at the Rio Olympics and the John Deere Classic. Did you catch any of it?

At Rio, Justin Rose prevailed over runner-up Henrik Stenson for the gold medal, while at the John Deere Ryan Moore cruised to a two shot victory over Ben Martin.

Did you watch the Travelers Championship this weekend?

If you didn't, you should have, because Jim Furyk became the first player in history to shoot 58 on the PGA Tour. It was a remarkable performance -- 10 birdies and a hole-out eagle for a 12-under round.

Oh, yeah, and Russell Knox won the tournament by 1 over runner-up Jerry Kelly.

Did you catch any of the PGA Championship this week?

Jimmy Walker edged out runner-up Jason Day, who made eagle on 18, to win his first major title by one shot. Well deserved!

With Walker's win this week, 15-16 becomes another golf season in which first-timers (formerly majorless) take each of the four majors.

Did you watch Canada's national golf championship this week, the RBC Canadian Open?

Jhonattan Vegas (31) birdied the final three holes to reach a 12-under total that nobody was able to match; he ended up winning by one shot over runners-up Jon Rahm, Martin Laird and Dustin Johnson. It's his second Tour win since the 2011 Bob Hope Classic.

At the 2016 Open Championship, Henrik Stenson came out on top in what will go down as one of the most memorable duels in major championship history.

He ended up winning by three shots over runner-up Phil Mickelson to secure his first major title. He is the first ever Swede to win a major, and his total score of 264 is the lowest in major history.

Did you watch Dustin Johnson win this week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational?

He pulled it off by one stroke over runner-up Scott Piercy after a second straight 66. Coming off his win two weeks ago at the U.S. Open, this gets him to #1 in the FedExCup standings. Jason Day had a chance but imploded on the final few holes.
