Mr. Risman graduated from Binghamton University in 2003 with a B.S. in Psychobiology. He received his J.D. from New York Law School in 2007. He is a member of the New York State Bar, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Risman began his career defending large corporations and insurance companies. Along with this wide-ranging experience, Mr. Risman brings a keen insight on how management operates and in effect has developed calculated methods in prosecuting claims against them.
Mr. Risman has had exposure to many aspects of New York employment law, including employment discrimination based on gender, age, race, national origin, religious, disability, sexual orientation and pregnancy discrimination, as well as sexual harassment and retaliation. In addition to handling matters concerning employment discrimination, he has participated in countless severance negotiations, as well as restrictive covenant and contract litigation.
Mr. Risman is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association. He is also a faculty member of Lawline, teaching a variety of courses in employment law.
