I don't think that is true. There is an HDMI - In port on it for a set top box, but I don't think it is required. If you don't have a set top box, you lose some of the features like picture in picture web surfing and searching cable listings and DVRs and a few other things.

But it would still be cool just see web video on your TV and streaming media via WIFI.

When it gets the Android 3.1 update, things will really get interesting. It should get access to the Android Market and be open for developers.

You can drink beers outside AND your kids can play at the huge jungle gym thing AND there's live music most nights WIN-WIN-WIN. Not to mention that the food is delicious. You won't find a better chicken sandwich
