Feel free to actively retreat.
The faithful want to follow a "higher law" than the Supreme Court. Even some justices. Here's why they're wrong

There's a difference between what people did in the bible and what you should do.

One reason is that many former Christians, of all ages, have joined the rapidly growing ranks of the religiously unaffiliated.

Hello Community. I was curious about de-conversion stories. Mine is quite boring. At 16 I just read "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" and something just clicked when I read "God is dead." Information for me was not readily available so it took longer than I would have wished in order to get information regarding what atheism/humanism, etc. were about. But, I considered myself a non-believer from then on. I grew up in a Christian culture mingling happily(?) among Jehovah's Witnesses, Evangelical Christians, Catholics and others. My parents are still much in denial of me being an atheist for them I'm just "mad" at God.

Anyone else would like to share?

Welcome to the community, +Massiel B. and I hope you will use this community especially when your family tries to put pressure on you.

I've found that the people who see through religion the quickest are those who've been around more than one religion and notice that they're all using the same "proofs" to show that they're right, and that human beings aren't as different as religion likes to claim they are.

+Ray Bernache Yes indeed and no I did not. What I did say is that you have made and continue to make stupid assumptions. However since I'm beging to doubt your reading comprehension, meh if the cap fits.

Say you are politicaly minded would you judge it stupid to align yourself with the party that mostly resembled your politicaly idealology?

Bethel College in Indiana is just the latest battlefield between evangelicals and evolution. Unfortunately, it won’t be the last.

It is, after all, a religious school. Nothing to see here.

One out of every four of those born after 1980 say that they are atheist, agnostic or that religion is not important to them.

As usual, I offer my hypothesis that religion is a communicable fantasy that uses our instincts against us to create an addiction, evolves like a parasite and never "plays fair." I'd say this is an excellent example of the last. If it did play fair it would easily be defeated. Religion's claims appear to evolved to make sure it stays unchallenged in peoples' heads rather than to show any real proof or logic.

The ending was hilarious!

Every time someone starts to say 'thank you supernatural being' I have to yell "What about the starving children?"
