Yeah the cesspool full of infestation. It is dirty. I can not believe has not been shut down for unsanitary health practices. Avoid this place at all cost. The owner is confused. He thinks he is running a night club in LA or Las Vegas. This is was a neighborhood dive bar until they installed a pit bull for a bouncer and brought all the BS attitude to small neighborhood bar. You are much better off going to Tortia Hights, or Lion Pub and avoid this place.

Disgusting place. Cesspool is the most appropriate name for this place.

This has been my local watering hole for the past eight years. Love it. It's probably as big as my living room (AKA tiny for a bar, grand for an SF living room), so it's very cozy. Football, trivia, Sunday lush fests- this place is always game. And as an added bonus, if you need to eat b/c you plan on drinking too much, you can order food from Frankies (two spots down) to be delivered!

The Fishbowl is referred to as the "Cestpool". Known for being the dirtiest bar in SF. Your glass is as dirty as the fish tank. Someone should call SPCA and rescue the fish that is trapped in this place, drink at your own risk.

Great drinks, friendly bartenders, good pub-style food. And they have a discount for medical staff! One of my favorite places for happy hour!

So this place transformed a bit around March of 2009 when new owners came in. Bright new walls, some flatscreen tv's, still that epic jukebox, but a bit friendlier of a vibe, and better food. Same Lower Pac Heights neighborhood crowd keeps coming, plus some cool transients... a perfect little SF watering hole that took well to its facelift.
