History bloggers - are there any regular history link ups or blog hops out there you know of?

Or good networks to find other history blogs?

This very plain little card invites my great aunt, Lillian Barton, to attend St James's Palace - no less! - for a presentation by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother of a long service award to Lillian's sister "Nancy" Thompson.

The award from the Queen's Institute of District Nursing reflected the 25 years that Nancy had spent as a midwife and district nurse since completing her training at the Battersea General Hospital in 1936 ...

Parish Magazines might not be what is usually thought of as a "church record" but they provide a fascinating snapshot into parish life.

I was lucky enough to find this 1932 magazine from the parishes of Waterhouses with Esh Winning in County Durham amongst my great-aunt belongings ...

This 1935 wedding notice gave details of everything my g-aunt wore for her wedding - but unfortunately there are no remaining photos.

She destroyed them all.

Struggling to trace my g-g-aunt who disappears from official records from 1891 but from family photos and letters I know was definitely alive until at least the 1930s ...

Any suggestions, for where I might be missing the blindingly obvious?
