Meet Wilford, a recent alumni from the University of Zimbabwe with 5+ years of Enactus under his belt.

In his own words, Wilford has “actively applied the Enactus principles, to influence key decision makers in the Zimbabwean energy business community to drive for the achievement of SDG7—access to affordable and clean energy.”

During university, Wilford drafted a Smart Grid proposal to transform the Zimbabwean national power utility, which was subsequently taken up by the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA). Wilford has since gone on to become a Mandela Washington Fellow under the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), design a framework to profitably integrate SMEs in the energy sector into the core value chain of large corporations, be confirmed as a Global Shaper in the World Economic Forum, and found FordOlutions; which is currently working to build a 1MW power station in Zimbabwe.

Utilising his global exposure, Wilford aims to impart his skills and connections to help fellow Enactus Zimbabwe Alumni to be better positioned to take advantage of global platforms that can amplify their impact.

Meet other alumni, intrapreneurs and entrepreneurs like Wilford at the #ActionAccelerator18 at #EnactusWorldCup 2018.
