7 year old Jamie, is in remission from Leukaemia. Jamie thought long and hard about what his one true wish would be and he wrote us a gorgeous letter explaining this. After careful consideration, Jamie’s one true wish was to have a playground to share with his brothers!
Thanks to PlayZone, Jamie received his cherished playground just last week! Jamie came home from school at lunchtime with his entire class to see his playground revealed. He was SO excited!
Check out the video below and be watching TV1 and TV2 from 7:30pm. Santa’s dropping pressies off his sleigh tonight! Snap a pic of the pressie on your TV you’d like and submit your entry by 11am tomorrow. There’s a daily chance to Catch Christmas, so keep watching to snap and WIN!

Not sure what to get your gardening enthusiast Grandma (or Mother / Friend / Sister / Aunty / colleague) for Christmas? How about the lovely new 'Wish Series' of Salvias just released?! Proceeds from every plant sold go to Make-A-Wish New Zealand to make more wishes come true!
http://www.livingfashion.co.nz/variety/salvia-wendys-wish/
The Salvia ‘Wish Series’ are a new and high-performing series of salvias in a unique palette of colours to fill the garden with colour month after month. In fact in the north these salvias don’t stop flowering, a ‘year round’ colour source filling the mid border with vibrant magenta to copper tones. Salvia ‘Wendy’s Wish’ was named after the Salvia enthusiast who discovered this new and unique species in her vast salvia collection in Victoria Australia.
Thank you Living Fashion – we can’t wait to plant them!

Thank you to everyone who chose to support Make-A-Wish New Zealand in GivingTuesday yesterday in the hopes of raising #Million4Wishes! There is still time to donate and make more wishes come true for kiwi kids: http://just.ly/million4wishes

Please note that your donation will go back to making wishes come true in New Zealand like Emily who is 13 years old and has Cystic Fibrosis; she is a charming young lady who loves dancing, iPhones and soccer. Her one true wish was for a gold iPhone 5S!

Emily was very excited in the lead up to her wish - apparently it was all she would talk about every single day. Her brother James was certainly glad when the delivery day came!

Emily was completely surprised when her grandparents turned up with the Make-A-Wish volunteers. The surprise didn’t last for long as she quickly started opening the gifts! She very carefully identified which one was the phone and left that one till last!

She kept saying during the unwrapping how she was getting more and more excited – you could see her hands shaking as she got closer to the big gift! She was delighted with the earphones and really happy and surprised with all the extra stuff included, especially the iTunes vouchers. The smile says it all!

Please note that your donation will go back to making wishes come true in New Zealand like Ashlee who is 3 years old and has Cystic Fibrosis. She is a very extroverted little girl who loves the colour pink, dressing up like the princesses in the movie Frozen and anything that glitters! Tuesday 2nd December is ‪#‎GivingTuesday‬ – a day where the world comes together to give back, kicking off the giving season. As part of this, we're excited to be partnering with JustGiving to launch ‪#‎Million4Wishes‬, a global campaign to raise $1million to change the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions around the world!
Stay tuned to find out how you can donate and help grant life-changing wishes to children like Shawn on GivingTuesday.
Shawn (17) has cancer and loves motorbikes, trucks, diggers, push bikes and vintage cars! He has a soft spot for his two cats Attitude and Bulldog but his ‪#‎onetruewish‬ was to travel in a campervan and go fishing in a boat!
Shawn and his family had an absolute blast travelling through Blenheim, Kaikoura and Hamner Springs.
Special thanks to Britz Campervans, Interislander, Toatai Fishing Charters Picton, Hamner Springs Thermal Pools & Spa, Blenheim TOP 10 Holiday Park, Kaikoura TOP 10 Holiday Park and Hamner Springs TOP 10 Holiday Park.

In honour of Thanksgiving today, we would like to thank our awesome ‪#‎WishRacers‬ that raised over $40,000 for Make-A-Wish in the Auckland Marathon! We have signed up again for 2015 which means we have limited Golden Entries available – apply now before it’s too late (link below)!
Take part in the Auckland Marathon as a Wish Racer and it will be doubly rewarding! You’ll not only have your own sense of achievement, but also the heart-warming satisfaction of knowing your efforts will make a positive difference to the lives of children and their families.
Golden Runners will receive free entry into the Full, Half or Quarter Marathon; all we ask is that you commit to raising a minimum sponsorship target of $500 for the quarter marathon, $1000 for the half marathon and $2000 for the full marathon. Being part of the Wish Racer team will make the training and fundraising easier.
Whether it’s your first quarter, half, full marathon or your 10th, we’ll provide all the support you need to reach your personal goals and get the most from your fundraising.

Adam is 10 years old and has leukaemia. He is an absolute World War II buff and his one true wish was to fly in a fighter jet!

Thanks to Make-A-Wish Canada, his “Top Gun” adventure came true when pilot Ed McDonald took Adam for a ride in his own personal L-39 fighter jet! Adam felt the thrill and exhilaration of the jet as they soared into the sky over BC’s Canadian Forces Base Comox while pulling 2G’s.

Adam’s Dad said “I literally had tears in my eyes seeing Adam enjoy his wish so much. After everything he’s been through fighting leukaemia for the past year, to see him have this day was simply incredible!”

Meet Lily and Dan, two kiwis living in Sydney. They are super excited to be getting married in January back in NZ! Instead of a gift registry, they have asked their guests to donate to Make-A-Wish on their Givealitte page. What a lovely idea – thank you Lily and Dan!
If you’d like to support Lily and Dan and make more wishes come true in the lead up to their big day, please see the link below.

We are thrilled that OBC (Outboard Boating Club of Auckland) chose to fundraise for Make-A-Wish once again with their annual ladies fishing competition!
This year’s theme was ‘Gatsby Girls on the Gulf’ inspired by The Great Gatsby. After a day of fishing, the ladies put their gladrags on for a night filled with dinner, auction, live music, dancing and prizes!
Thank you to everyone involved who helped raise almost $5,000 for Make-A-Wish!
