Today seems to be an app-for-your-disability-life kind of day. This is cool. I'm (admin +Keith Hosey) using it on my phone so look for Louisville places to start getting added more.
A new app designed to help people with disabilities locate accessible venues in their communities is getting a boost after being named a winner in a national contest.

From Theresa Squires: "It is time for me to celebrate my birthday again, and I would like to use my birthday as an opportunity to raise money for a cause that I think is so important, Her Power • Her Pride • Her Voice.

Two years ago I had the opportunity to organize something amazing, a weekend event for girls with disabilities. Teen girls are continually being told by the media who they are supposed to be, how they are supposed to act, and what they are supposed to look like. In a three day event called Her Power- Her Pride- Her Voice, girls from across Michigan, came together and participated in various interactive art activities to challenge media perceptions, about who they were supposed to be.

Last year WE as a COMMUNITY came together and raised $5,000 to support the second Her Power • Her Pride • Her Voice. event. THANK YOU!!!!

This program needs funding to happen again (for the third year!!!!) and your donation can make it possible! Your donation will support scholarships, keep the cost down, pay for Personal Assistants and to pay for nurses on site for the weekend, and NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!! "
