Thank you, Allister for your thoughts here, but what I'm after is a deeper understanding of why there are so few women or so few voices of women in Digital Marketing. I read last week that a whopping 90% of G+ users are men. I could be misquoting the number here, but I believe it was up in that range. I think the answer there is tied to something more than pointing to the obvious, i.e., they're just not there as a force of habit.
There's just not enough data out there right that can show me why women are staying away and what they're looking for vis-a-vis marketing. Is their distance embedded in attitudes in the workplace or in educational institutions or in how much they get paid? Those are the answers I'm looking for.
Interestingly, I haven't received a response from any women yet.
