Mindbox Design Championship:
The Orbis School’s entry, in the Family Movie Category of the Mindbox Design Championship, was adjudged as the best. The plot revolved around a young boy who realises the unconditional sacrifices made by his mother for all the family members. It’s been an amazing learning experience for the young Orbians Akshat Banka (Class 7), Piyush Rangdal (Class 7), Namith Sarode (Class 8), and N. Raghav (Class 8) who were the actors, directors and scriptwriters of the movie. We are grateful to Mr. Pankaj Khatavkar and Mr. Chetan of Dekhte Rahoo for lending a big helping hand and the parents for their support in making this movie a success.

We are happy to share that one of our students, Kavana Anklekar's work is featured on the website Out of Eden Walk,

At The Orbis School in Pune, Maharashtra, India, Kavana Anklekar and her classmates study how political unrest affects human migration and development in the context of Out of Eden Walk. After reading Paul’s description of a bakkal in the dispatch “1 Bucket of Wheat = 1 Candy Bar,” Kavana snapped a photo of this bakkal in the small town of Avarsa in Karnataka.

What is a bakkal? “These are small shops which sell almost everything needed to fulfil the basic needs of people. We can see these shops in villages and small towns,”
