This review suggests that sham surgery has shown to be just as effective as actual surgery in reducing pain and disability!!!!

What is pain? Are there "pain receptors"?

Review By: Kitty
I've been a patient of Jamin's for about 2 years. I have a lot of muscle tension in my shoulders and throughout my rib cage from anxiety type issues. When I first started seeing Jamin, I was so tensed up I was actually having breathing issues! My only previous experience with massage therapists was with the type of place that you don't get the same therapist each time and I was never really satisfied with the results and always felt a little self-conscious. Jamin is very professional, respectful, thorough, knowledgeable, caring and quick to respond to appointment requests. His facilities are clean and comfortable. I would (and have) recommend him to anyone who needs a massage therapist for general muscle tension or accident related issues. http://localreviewdirectory.com/massage-therapist/or/portland/jamin-rak-lmt/rid/MTEwMjMwNjgwMzQ=

So many people fail to understand the damage caused by what some consider a "low velocity impact" from a car accident. This is a feat article to understand what really happens in a car accident to soft tissue like muscle and ligaments. If anyone were to fall of a roof, no one with any sense would just shrug it off. Car accidents are serious impacts to the body! Get treatment immediately to help the repair process for a speedy recovery!

This is why I try to stay as close as I can to evidence based therapies, and not those that must rely on the "unknown mechanisms" or faith to gain traction.
Your thoughts on cranial sacral therapy in the face of scientific evidence? Should it even be considered "massage therapy"?

So many articles with no evidence.... should we as a profession shun this sort of therapy?
