What to do if you're camping in a storm? Draw! While hunkered down in my tent for the night, I drew the next installation in Woodie the Tick for my class at The Loft Literary Center.

The assignment: draw a silent comic with undemocratic panels, as in panels of differing sizes, to tell a story and show the passing of time.

I won't claim to be an illustrator, but this was fun.

Here's is my pleasure reading for the weekend—stories of my two favorite space aliens, Eek and Ack, written by the talented students from Roosevelt Elementary in Faribault, MN.

(Thank you so much, and it was fun having you use a couple of my characters to express your creativity—wow!)

Was feeling like a rock star today at Lincoln Elementary in Faribault, MN. Busted out my guitar and got the kids singing along to Little Billy Bison. #CantataLearning

Spent the day at Jefferson Elementary in Faribault, MN, talking to students about writing and drawing, telling them stories, and even playing a tune, Little Billy Bison, on my guitar.
