Wilt Chamberlain's 1962 record of 42 points in an NBA All-Star game was finally broken yesterday by Anthony Davis, who scored an amazing 52 points as the Western Conference squad defeated the East 192-182.

Today is the 75th anniversary of a terrible incident in American history: Executive Order No. 9066, signed by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, which forced all Japanese-Americans on the West Coast to be relocated to internment camps during World War II. We passed two of these camps on our recent US-6 roadtrip: the Topaz Internment Camp at Delta, Utah and the Manzanar National Historic Site at Independence, California.

Happy Valentine's Day! Once upon a time, in 1962, thoughts of love led to marriage. In 1962, half of 21-year-olds and 90% of 30-year-olds had been married at least once. But today, only 8.5% of 21-year-olds and 53.3% of 30-year-olds had been married. As someone who's been happily married for a long time, I'm sorry to see so many of you missing out.

On February 12, 2014, eight Corvettes fell into a sinkhole within the National Corvette Museum. Two have been restored and a third, a 1962 Corvette, will be restored as an ongoing museum exhibit this year.
