I recently posted a photo showing a really nice scene of a father and daughter dancing at the girl's Bat Mitzvah. I had many people asking about my lighting setup, so I thought that I would write a blog to explain this to all of you. Check it out at:

There are 541 days until the start of the Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, and yesterday I found out that I will definitely be fully credentialed to shoot for Team USA once again. Think I am thankful for this opportunity? Read the blog at...

Yeah...Yeah...I have been teasing you all on Facebook for the last month. I posted something about having a cool new toy, but could not talk about it. But now I can! Just now in New York (hence the real reason I am here in NYC), DJI announced the new Phantom 3 HD and Phantom 3 4K aerial cameras. After playing with this for a month, here is my review of this cool new toy...

You have probably heard about, and hopefully tasted Gruyere cheese. I was excited to visit the small town of Gruyere, to try the cheese and capture this picturesque town in photos. Check out the photos and story on the blog at:

With all the new DSLR cameras shooting at high ISOs, is f/4 the new f/2.8? I discuss this on the blog today. Check it out at: http://bit.ly/1DyV477

I'd say no on the grounds that the lower the ISO, the more colour depth you get. I've had so many photos where I ended up pushing the ISO just looking washed out or with odd colour casts that white balance corrections just don't clear.
Certainly good is more easily reachable with F/4 these days, but that extra stop can make a surprising amount of difference. To me at least!
