Great new hot dog concept that has been a real hit on the Freret St food scene. This spot is a cool place to grab a beer and one of their many signature hot dogs or sausages. Lots of fun toppings to adorn your dog and don't forget the fries. The fries are large and come with many different toppings as well. Great place for kids and lots of outdoor seating. They've opened 2 new locations in the last year!!!

Incredible gourmet hot dogs -- lots of different meats to choose from and tons of toppings/flavors that are very creative and delicious! The atmosphere is also really awesome. Bar on the inside with a few tables as well, and a very large patio. Tuesday nights is a trivia night where tables compete for free drinks. It's a lot of fun!

The restaurant itself is fine, the management is utterly horrible though. I have had many friends work here and either get fired when trying to report a manager stealing money or quit simply because they didn't want to put up with the simple unpleasantness of the managers. I don't go here anymore for these reasons, but I do miss the food sometimes. Fortunately, Company Burger is a block away. And more delicious.

Awesome! The Sea Dog and the Veggie Dog are so good. Loads of toppings to choose from and the fries are the absolute best! But don't forget your cash. No credit accepted here. Ohh and they have a good selection of beer, wine and other goodies. Enjoy!

Dat Dog does wonderful things for the hot dog. This is a great place to bring family and friends. Their buns are awesome.

If you go to New Orleans the phrase “who dat” is thrown around without a care and often gets chanted by Saints fanatics. The fans of Dat Dog get just as excited — so much so, that the once-tiny shop decided to relocate across the street to a space 10 times its original size in order to cater to the masses. No wonder, their plump sausages bring meat into a new game, one I want to play again and again. The crawfish version was particularly pleasing with its piquant kick and savory juices that flowed out of the crisp skin, only to get soaked by the buttered, toasted bun. Plus, you can get any topping under the sun including cheese, guacamole, sauerkraut, jalapenos, wasabi and more. If you can’t decide, I suggest going for the chef’s choice. Just make sure to snag a pile of napkins.
