I hope that lecture based learning will be largely replaced. Content acquisition has always been a heavy focus in education, whereas metacognition (learning how to learn) is often ignored.

Here is a link to a pretty interesting experiment by Rick Garlikov, http://www.garlikov.com/Soc_Meth.html (some more write up on http://www.helium.com/items/2077570-the-socratic-method-of-teaching). He taught binary arithmetic to a group of 3rd graders in 25 minutes by only asking questions. Pretty cool!

Foxconn will replace some of its workers with 1 million robots in three years http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/china/2011-07/30/c_131018764.htm

One more reason that our education system needs to stop focusing on content acquisition and standardized test taking.

By Howard Wach at Bronx Community College - https://bcc-cuny.digication.com/portfolio/directory.digi. This is amazing data to show significance in how students can become integrative and life long learners.
