Sometimes I get deeply precise for no other reason than to feel warm and fuzzy inside.  This time, it was some Photoshopping...

Here is an iPhone home screen wallpaper that I felt the need to adjust by just a few pixels; I also made the line work finer.  I'm better now.

Based on a design by Brad Hellyar (according to the interwebs) and shared here because I don't have a tumbler, facebook, deviantwhatever. #iPhone   #wallpaper     #blueprint

Thank you, Monopoly, for replacing the iron with a cat.

Interesting how two Canadians are talking about the US space program as if it were theirs.

Living on the prairies means I'm pretty aware of the track of the sun and, over the past few weeks, I've watched as it's worked its way across the horizon.

This morning brings Earth's axial tilt and my morning commute into blinding alignment.

I've read a few theoretical views about what EA is doing on their servers, a quote from (supposedly) an EA developer that claims the DRM can be disabled, and all sorts of other guess work about #SimCity .

But this guy made some concrete mods that demonstrate disabling the always-on DRM, expanding the region sizes, and more.

As Arte Johnson might say, "Verrrry interestink!"

"I'm a sweet little bird in a gilded cage..."

SimCity is released today but I won't be getting it.  There are numerous articles about the always-on DRM, the inter-dependencies between players (and the hope you're not reliant on trolls), the limited resources per region, and the vastly smaller city sizes given to each player.

Although I would love to purchase it, this wallpaper graphic (original artist not easy to discern) illustrates my feelings rather nicely: a gilded cage is still a cage.  #SimCity   #SimCity2013
