What do you guys think about school systems that allow us to check our children's grades? Good, bad, indifferent? I'm on the fence personally. While I think it's good to have access to that information, I also believe many parents will take it overboard.

That's precisely the situation I think many would like to avoid. I feel like the harm may outweigh the good this would do in this circumstance. Thanks for your feedback +Erica Garcia .

Sometimes the best #parenting method out there is just a hug.
Hugs can send your child a message. Sometimes it is just easier to hug it out when words are not getting the job done.

How do you handle it when your child uses less than appropriate language? #parenting
Many parents want to know what to do when a child swears. There are plenty of techniques out there, but I know how I handle the situation.

A mother shares her sadness because instead of listening to her daughter she was busy texting back a friend who she was having a meaningless conversation with. We all get distracted by technology, but I thought this post was a good reminder to try and stay focused on what's in front of us.

One mother is taking it upon herself to toss away the #parenting books and do what she thinks is best. I liked her post, so I'm sharing :)
Friends, parenting is tough.  You bring this little life into the world, and sometimes you feel helpless and directionless on how to raise this little heart.  So, you break out the parenting books.  You read the mom blogs.  Y...

I don't use parenting books myself and have always done what I think is right for my kids.  I base my decisions on learning as a kid and my instincts.

How do you go about making germs a non-factor in your home? I share some tips for keeping germs away from your baby in this post. #parenting
Keeping germs away from your baby is important. They are vulnerable to illness when they are young, and it should be taken seriously.

Some parents think the whole internet safety thing is overblown, but I think it is such a vital part of #parenting in these modern times. What do you think?
Keeping an eye on internet use is a crucial aspect of parenting in this modern era. This is not something to neglect.

What's your favorite #parenting quote or philosophy?

Mine is, "There are two things we should give our children: one is roots and the other is wings."

So your baby is not sleeping through the night huh? I'm totally serious when I say, try to enjoy those moments. The day will come when you long for that special time together. It's all a part of #parenting and you will get your sleep eventually, I promise.
Your baby is not sleeping through the night, and you are exhausted. While you might not realize it, there will come a time when you long for this situation.

Teaching your children to value themselves, especially as they near the age of dating is important. One dad had an amazing idea to teach his daughters about this, and I posted about it.
Teaching your kids to value themselves is an important part of being a parent. Teach them not to settle for less than they deserve, which is the best.
