I took this photograph on the day before we met , and . This was a scouting day for us to see how the flowers in the area were coming along. Although the lupines were not yet blooming these yellow flowers were in full bloom.
How was this photo created?
The composition was selected so that the small foreground would dominate the photograph. How? By getting up close and personal to the flowers. I used hyperfocal distance theory to ensure that everything was acceptably sharp in the image and appeared to be in focus. And then there was a small challenge of blending the sky and foregound due to uneven distribution of light. I tackled that using our iHDR manual blending workflow.
