Crochet me Crazy: 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day
My sister never had any interest in crochet or knitting when we were growing up, so image my surprise when one day she started churning out masses of crochet squares and then eventually, entire blankets! Turns out it was all for " 67 Blankets for Nelson Ma...

Can you crochet or knit squares? 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day (UK) are making blankets for local charities, hospices and old age homes in the UK, so this is not a 'South African thing'.

If you can't knit or crochet and you'd rather watch paint dry than attempt either, donations of wool, hooks and needles are greatly appreciated!!  YouTube do however have great tutorials (just saying...).

I am also taking requests and suggestions of charities that are in need of blanket donations. If we are going to have the winter that they say is on the cards, the blankets will be a very welcome gift.

Share the group or invite people to it if you think that they are willing and able to contribute in any way, shape or form.

Best wishes and goodwool

Nappies, inspiration, epiphanies and random trains of though
It's rather bizarre where you can find inspiration and finally get out of that writing slump, one which I've been in for nearly 6 months! On my way to the kitchen, plodding down the stairs in my aubergine M&S slippers (I'd wear them all day if I could plus ...
