Yes, we need BMC to be the antagonist, or else we would all jump on Sam Adams, right?
Every story needs an antagonist. Harry's horcruxing wouldn't have been nearly as exciting without Voldemort's noseless threat, and Frodo's plucky resilience wouldn't have been as impressive without...

:sigh: This is very narrow minded. As if every craft drinker is interested only in good vs. bad.

Permanently retiring our first beer.

Today we say goodbye to an old friend. We sold the last few cases of Amarillo Rye in the brewery and decided to retire the beer. It was a mediocre seller, though it had a surprising fan base. But we have bigger plans and exciting new beers to get out to you!

So, I thought it would be fitting to celebrate its life with a few of its very mixed Untappd reviews:
"Väl besk för min smak, teflon?" (Too bitter for my taste, teflon?)
"Rött, fylligt, söt beska som fyller munnen!" (Red, full bodied, sweet bitterness which fills the mouth!)
"Inte bra. Bland de spritigaste öl jag druckit." (Not good. Among the most liquor-like beer I've drank.)
"Åh vad gott! Önskar jag kunde köpa den hemma i huvudstaden." (Wow, how good! Wish I could shop this at home in the Capitol.)
"Felsmaker, oxidering?" (Off-tastes, oxidized?)
"Amazing aroma, malty flavour, great finish"

So was it a good beer or not?? Confused? Welcome to my world lol. And with that, we bid you adieu Amarillo Rye. Still sold at Systembolaget and Hotell Fängelset until it sells out.

Need more hops acreage!
A drought in the US and a heatwave in Central Europe are threatening this year's hop harvests, putting craft beer production in jeopardy. Aroma hops, which are most associated with craft beers, are experiencing serious price increases. Over the past month the Yakima Valley in Washington – the ...

Yeah, but there is drought in other hops growing regions, esp. Europe and Australia. In the Pacific Northwest, it's mostly too little rain. Hops need lots of water and sun.

Some good new stuff from Warren Haynes. Great songwriting, hear a bit of Jackson Browne and Tom Russell in there with a worn, soulful voice.
