NEW BLOG POST: "Embrace your introversion. Don’t apologize for it. Educate your more extroverted friends in our arcane and mysterious ways and keep assuring them that your need to curl up with a good book isn’t a rejection of their friendship.

"The world needs us, the deep thinkers, the deep feelers, the ones who see behind the curtain.

"We’re the only ones who know the value of solitude in a mad, mad world."

"As it turns out, Kayla is an amalgam of several people I remember from high school. Pretty, popular, insufferably vapid. Kayla’s just one of those folks who thinks everyone should be exactly like she is—the right church, the right number of children, the right kind of hen-pecked husband.

"You will find many such odious creatures chairing civic organizations and den momming their kids’ kindergarten classrooms."

NEW BLOG POST: Why You Can't Resist a Bad Boy.

"If you look back at your own history of youthful infatuations, you are sure to find a starter-pack bad boy, the one that awakened you to your heart’s deepest desires. Mine was Snake Plissken from “Escape From New York.” I discovered that movie during a sleepover at a friend’s house. We gossiped, painted each other’s nails, made popcorn, and then went through her family’s VHS tapes.

Even now, I smile at my eleven-year-old self experiencing her first full-blown crush. This wasn’t the Kurt Russell I remembered from Disney movies. This was the baddest bad boy I’d ever seen—long hair, eyepatch, zero body fat, and that tattoo! I couldn’t keep my eyes off the thing. Determined to put the “snake” in Snake Plissken, the movie’s makeup artist drew a hooded cobra that started mid torso and ended (deliciously!) somewhere south of Kurt Russell’s waistband."

If you've ever wondered why women are ... well, women, here you go. I really like the way this article turned out, especially with respect to what women find sexy (versus what men find sexy) and why even erotic romance isn't porn.

HobbyReads is Kensington Book's "crafts" site, designed to showcase creativity and writers. One of my favorite characters in my most recent book, SWEET DREAMS, is UFO-obsessed Coralee, who makes saucer cakes. And it just seems so fitting that we're dialoguing about UFOs these days because that's all Coralee thinks about.

Inside Italian Houses: From Padre Pio to the Proper Way to Hang Your Bra
Outdoor living in Italy You want a house? Texas has houses. We're talking a Tyvek-clad, three-car-garage, big brick energy monster that sits in the middle of a "waterfront" subdivision/mosquito retention pond and comes with a fully sodded lawn and a tree. T...
