I'm on the phone with AHS as I type this—our a/c stopped working last Sunday, 6/12, and we called AHS to make a service appointment. They set us up with Eagle Heating + Air for Thursday (yesterday), 6/16. Well, Eagle just plain didn't show up. We had several different reps from AHS on the phone trying to track down someone from Eagle to find out where in the world they were, and an AHS rep put a note on our account GUARANTEEING that someone WOULD be coming last night. Well, no one came. I'm now on the phone with AHS asking what is going on, and the rep, Dwayne, says that they've switched the service provider to Piedmont Mechanical. He puts me on hold to contact them, then comes back on the phone to tell me: "Yeah, Piedmont is pretty booked up. Their first available appointment is Tuesday." I told Dwayne that that answer isn't good enough for me, that my hands are tied because I have to go through a provider that AHS approves, and the first one didn't even bother showing up. I'm NOT waiting until next Tuesday when it's not our fault that the first provider didn't even bother to show up. He now has me on hold trying a different company. I don't know who the bigger disaster here is—AHS, Eagle Heating, or Piedmont Mechanical. This is a scam. My next call is going to be to the Better Business Bureau.
