A small preview into my "work life"

I design/develop websites, coordinate media events "digitally & physically", maintain catalogs of products, manage e-commerce, SEO, and social media marketing.

I've found value in Google+ for business purposes and web promotion "stuff"

I don't try to blatantly advertise but try to share what I can that's technically interesting and speaks to a technical audience. It's working well and I'm having a blast doing it.

This post is an example of said strategy.

Anyone else have exp in what I'm trying to do?

Free Samples can be provided, reply if interested..

The photo featured in this post is of an electrically heated thermal actuator.

Electrical resistance creates a controlled heating process which causes the material inside the actuator to expand. This expansion rate is carefully calculated per the customers requirements. The expansion forces are directed through a small cylindrical opening at the end of the actuator, resulting in piston movement.

Actuators can be heated artificially or naturally from waste energy from within your system and or environment.

Threads, mounting brackets and valves can be adapted to aid an engineer when integrating this type of device into a system for control.

Applications can be but are not limited to:
Freeze protection valves
Mixing valves
Anti-scald valves
Zone valves
Temperature sensitive switches
Temperature activated diffuser vents
HVAC automated climate control vents

A photo I took last night in my driveway.

I spent a few hours outside last night snapping a few photos.
The wind was blowing making for a chilly night, and disturbing stability but I manged to capture a few shots.

I decided to play with my 70mm refractor; I've been preoccupied with it's larger siblings, the 70mm easily captures full frame moon shots.

I took a series of 20 images with my Nikon D80, and an eye piece projection adapter, This time I used my remote and the results were much better, and easier to obtain.  No more timer for me !

If I just had an electronic focuser (maybe its time to make one Arduino style)

Not the best images due to the iPhone flash and the spontaneity of the moment.

This is me and my son observing objects in the sky. He's three years old and this is his first time seeing through a telescope.

We looked at,
The Moon, Betelgeuse, Aldebaren, The Orion Nebula, Pleiades, and Jupiter and it's 5 moons.

Lots of "oohs and ahhs"!

What a way to de-stress just before bed.

Here you can post photos  -

Collinsville Axe Factory, Collinsville CT.

An after work walk with my family on a local rail trail.

The trail cuts through the historic axe factory just as the rail did during it's days of operation. The warren truss trestle that spans the Farmington river is my favorite.

I'm looking for suggestions on software that is Mac compatible that functions like SkySafari (what I'm use to) but has more objects.

I'm trying to identify an object that I located in NASAs latest release of the Milky Way. I know where it lies in relation to other named objects yet it appears missing in every software package I use to identify it.

Thoughts?

Great buildings around the world  -

I was at Avon Old Farms today for a wedding planning event for my best friend.

I couldn't help but admire the staircases featured in the photo.
