Change in the world comes from individuals, from the inner peace in individual hearts. Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects.

Rococo Brides was the first place I made an appointment to try on dresses since I was told about it by a family member that knows the owner. I brought an entourage of three close girlfriends and we were lucky to have an appointment when the store was technically closed and only open for appointments so we were the only party at the time. Wow! Rococo Brides is a sight to behold. So beautiful in there. It pretty much reminded me of bridal dress fittings in the movies. We all picked one dress for me to try on and I believe both Georgia and her assistant each picked a dress they thought would suit me as well. I must say that I was VERY nervous about this part of the wedding planning. I am not a girly girl and wasn't looking forward to parading around in princess dresses...but... it was a very enjoyable experience! Georgia was extremely helpful and came in the dressing room with me to cinch the dresses so they'd fit properly and the sparkly black runway is an awesome enhancement to the experience. Out of the six dresses pulled, three were major contenders and guess what...? I said yes to the dress THAT DAY! It is completely opposite than what I had in mind, but it's perfect for me. Funny how you have an idea and then realize you need to try on the dress to find out what works best! When I picked my dress we were served Champagne. It was a really nice experience. I actually got to buy the dress right off the rack since it was in roughly the right size... which means I get to bring it home today! No 5 month wait for the dress to come in...bonus! I highly recommend you check out this store if you're looking for an experience that the chain stores can't give...believe me, I've been with girlfriends at those stores and it was a much different (and better) experience at Rococo and the prices of the dresses at Rococo are excellent. Mine came in way under budget!

I bought a Living Social deal for a three-course cooking class at Ruby's and I think it was one of the very best decisions I ever made! I have always had trouble replicating the flavours in Indian cuisine and was intrigued with the idea of getting some inside info. My husband and I decided to attend the Butter Chicken, Rice and Naan class on a Saturday night. The kitchen is set up really well, with metal stations with a hot plate and all the bowls/pots you may need. The ingredients were all around us and we were all provided with recipes so we could replicate the dishes at home. Ruby is an absolute delight. Her instructions and tips were great, and she was also a very fun woman. The naan was really easy to make... surprisingly! And it was absolutely delicious. The butter chicken was honestly to die for. It had so much flavour and it was nice to learn all the secret ingredients. I have since went and bought them all at Superstore, but Ruby also sells everything you may need there for reasonable prices. The method that Ruby taught us for the basmati rice is unreal! It's soooooo good!! Especially with the 4 C's!! I will never ever make normal rice again. Overall the experience was one of the best date nights we've ever had. To top it all off you can also bring your own beer or wine, which was a nice benefit. I look forward to taking another class soon... and I've made the butter chicken at home since and it was to die for... my husband actually said it was the best Indian dish he's ever had in any restaurant!!

My husband was recently taking his Tacoma into Heninger to get a free oil change when he had a few minutes to spare and walked across the street to check out the selection of used vehicles. I have been thinking about buying my very first vehicle (just got my license last year), and had been browsing Heninger's website for months, but had been procrastinating making the solo purchase. I had been thinking about a Corolla or a Rav4, but the Rav4 was a much better idea because we have two large dogs that need to be taken to the dog park. The dealership had quite a few Rav4s on this particular Saturday and they were all $1000 off. He called me and said just come and look at these. So we did! James was our salesperson. He was young and friendly and knowledgeable. He spent several hours with us checking out the Rav4s. I immediately fell in love with the dark green 2010 sport edition. I was a bit hesitant because I wasn't expecting my first vehicle to be THAT nice and expensive, but we decided that it could be a family car and would be perfect for the dogs. So... what I had been putting off for a year finally came to fruition. I bought a vehicle!! We were able to pick it up two days later and the service was impeccable at this dealership. In fact, we have now bought three cars from Heninger since 2006. Two new, and this one used. Jaime in the finance department was also very kind, helpful and informative. Overall a great experience! Now let's hope this vehicle is great as the service!
