Per nil ($16) - Ash the peril. Slow roasted pulled pork that's been marinated in Colombian beer. I won't lie to y'all - the pork is a little salty. But I suggest you ask for a side of their mango BBQ, the sweet ranginess helps cut the saltiness. A side of the Tropical Slaw also helps cut the salt. The cabbage + slices of mango tossed in vinaigrette is just really good and works so well with the pork and BBQ sauce.

If you're a foodie, this is heaven. Everything about the service is first rate and the food is sublime. If you have a food allergy, pas de problem. Even the front desk's annoying habit of making you wait for your table has been fixed. Last night, we were guests at a dinner for 12 in one of the gorgeous private rooms upstairs. Just spectacular.

It does NOT get much swankier than this, folks. From Ambience to Service to Food to Wine, Le Bernardin delivers…especially if you are a fish and seafood fan…otherwise give it a miss because the menu is almost exclusively from the ocean…not for landlubbers!

We visited Le Bernardin for our engagement dinner. The service was top notch and the food was fantastic. They made us feel special and treated us like a king and queen. Definitely will return for our first anniversary.

Had an early dinner here in April 2015. Food was excellent, service was spotty. Attention to detail was lacking for a restaurant of this caliber. My menu was left on the table until around the third course I had to ask a server to take it away. We had the tasting menu and it was delicious. The seafood fresh and the flavors well composed. Per se and Eleven Madison Park have a way of making diners feel special and welcomed with personalized menus which you can take home along with goodie bags of chocolate or granola. Le bernadin was lacking in that area. All in all a good meal but next time I think I will go the a la carte route.

This is my favorite seafood restaurant, if not favorite restaurant in NYC. I used to not be a big fan of seafood. I was more into meat but this place changed my perception of seafood. The seafood here is never slimy or too fishy tasting. Every plate I've had here is amazing. I came here for my birthday and they really took care of me here. The staff are so nice and they gave me extra desserts since it was my birthday. Just get the chef's tasting. You're here anyways so try as many dishes as possible.

We were very excited to finally go to Le Bernadin - and the food was very good, and beautifully presented, but.... When the restaurant called to reconfirm our reservation, the caller asked if we were going to the theater afterwards (we had an early reservation), and seemed almost disappointed that we did not. She then mentioned that they had another party who would be sitting at our table 2 1/2 hours after our reservation, and they just wanted us to know that. Ok, fine. Although the service was very good, and everyone was nice, we definitely had the feeling that we were being rushed - we had barely opened the wine list when they wanted to take our wine order, and the same with the food. When we got to the end of the meal, I realized that they had never asked if anyone wanted coffee or tea - which they certainly could have done prior to dessert and brought the coffee with it. None of us actually wanted coffee, but still, the offer should have been made. And we were not running over our time, we left with 15 minutes to spare. One other surprising thing is that our water glasses were never re-filled. Not a big deal if we were at a diner but in a restaurant like this, it should have been done. Our wine glasses were constantly topped off, and I'm wondering if it was because we might have ordered more wine, but we were drinking tap water. Some of this is petty, but in a restaurant with this reputation and with these prices, I should have no complaints at all.

Overrated. Food is good but sparce. Limited choices, ridiculously priced. Excellent service is the only reason for two stars.
