Black and white beauty...

A while ago I took some time out of my crazy schedule and went to a new friends studio to play around a bit with light and studio photography. Helping us by being extremely patience in front of the camera was beautiful My Hesser. Here's one shot from the day.

love is in the air

I'm preparing for shooting a wedding tomorrow. It will be my third as the main shooter and honestly, I'm a bit nervous :) However, the couple are so amazing so I still have a good feeling about this!
Here's a shot from our engagement shoot we did some weeks ago, don't they just look super happy!!??
Ok, wish me luck!! :)

to see a world in a grain of sand...

well, then I guess there is a universe in Colorado. So; I'm back to my own life in Gothenburg after a super vacation with my brother and his girlfriend in Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA. I didn't manage to do as much photo stuff as I would have liked to (for example catching up with everyone here) but I did have a great time!! So I hope I'll find the time soon to catch up here.
In the mean time here is one photo I managed to snap at the amazing Great Sand Dunes in Colorado, USA. this is a place you have to experience if you are in the neighbourhood, it's simply out of this world. Looking in one direction you see sand, sand and more sand. Looking the other direction there is a glorious green mountain... unreal I tell you!!

Time fly when you are on vacation

Here I was thinking I would have time to catch up and start posting again, boy was I wrong! The first week here in Los Alamos just flew by! It's been fun though! We have done a bit of climbing and then a lot of time was spent prepping and shooting a wedding last Saturday (I was second shooting a wedding here with my brother). It was a fun day but shooting outdoor with 30 degrees Celsius and sun is tough! Anyway, I thought I'd post one more from Valles Caldera where I shoot a sunset about a week ago. This one is a different angle than the one from last week. This one is shoot straight into the sunset so you can really see how that setting sun is lighting up the clouds above it. It was spectacular.
I hope to have some other photos before this week is over since after that it's back to the normal Swedish surroundings again.

The clouds were burning, the hills were glowing

I know it's been very quiet from me in the last few weeks. There has been some stuff happening in my life (all good things) and with work on top of that I haven't had time for anything else. Now I'm finally on vacation and I'm visiting my brother in Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA for 2.5 weeks. I'm going to try to take this time to get back in the g+ saddle and get active again (while I'm not out and exploring the fantastic landscapes around here :) )

Last night we went up to Valles Caldera to see the sunset. Valles Caldera is a 13.7-mile wide volcanic caldera in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico. It's last eruption was about 50-60.000 years ago so I was a bit nervous! Anyway, here is a photo of the burning clouds and the hills catching the last bit of sunlight.

Fido Friday

Oh it's summer times and I'm not spending much time at the computer and therefore not much time online. Once the weather gets worse I'll make a comeback! :)
Thought I'd share to Fido Friday for the first time. Here is Csilla, from a shoot at my dad's house some months ago.
I hope all are well and are enjoying a beautiful summer!! (or winter for those on the other side of the world :) )

I was super excited and honored this morning to find that my image from yesterday had made it into +Olivier Du Tré's excellent "Minimal Monday Wrap Up". This despite me messing up the theme a little bit and posting an architecture image rather than a landscape that the them focus on (sorry about that Olivier).
Olivier does these wrap ups every week after minimal Monday and they are a great way to get amazing images served to you. To hear Olivier's thoughts is also a great bonus. So have a look, you will be blown away by the many awesome images people share!
Minimal Monday Wrap Up no 78

Let's call this the flooded edition. Not only Calgary got flooded last week (clean up is ongoing and is one massive undertaking) but I also got a flood of messages from all of you asking me if I was doing ok. Thank you friends! We are fine.
And the flood edition is actually suitable for all of the photographs that got posted this week. I literally got flooded by them.

So here are, without further ado, all the link (in random order obviously) of the many photographs featured in this week's #minimalmonday  wrap up.

Enjoy :)
Oli

making lemonade...

I know it's been way too long since I posted but it can't be helped. Anyway, here is something from my last visit to Dublin some months ago. I was there for two weeks for work so unfortunately I didn't get much time to go around with my camera but instead I spent most of the time in the lab. To be in Dublin or Ireland for that matter and not get to run around with your camera sucks but as the saying goes, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade" I brought my camera to the lab and did my best to find something to photograph.
It was fun to see the confused reaction of the people passing by when they saw me and my tripod with the camera pointed to some windows with absolutely nothing interesting at all to see.

when will it slow down?

Again I find myself in a super busy period. How can it be? One period just blends into another.
Anyway, I'm being absent here and I'm sorry I'm not around to check out everyones stuff. Bare with me, I'll be back to catch up as soon as I can.
In the mean time, if you feel like it I shot a blues night last Saturday and posted some photos on my blog. Have a look if you feel like it.
