Beautiful
Twilight Storm Under Starry Sky
I originally shot this sunset to twilight storm to produce this timelapse video I've uploaded to +YouTube: http://youtu.be/I8OEEhKlKzE?hd=1

I revisted the images this morning to produce a star trails shot as well.  I like how the last orange light from the setting sun appears under the emerging stars.

I've posted tutorials on both timelapse sequences and star trails images over on my +Blogger blog... just search to find the one you want: http://www.myphotoguides.com/

A View from the Top, Cascade du Herisson, France
#landscapephotography , #photographyworkflow

Best View Large

What is about waterfalls that attracts us? I have yet to figure that out, but one thing is certain that flowing water is responsible for some fantastic photographs in my collection. Cascade du Herisson is a fantastic place in France to hike. There are about 31 waterfalls located on river Saut Girard which is fed by the waters of Lake Bonlieu and the Ilay Lakes.

How was this photograph created?
I was looking for something different...so rather than photographing the falls from the usual angle, I choose to photograph it from the top. This gave me an unique perspective...that I have utilized few times to photograph various falls. The composition was selected to avoid the sky and fill the frame with the fresh spring colors.

How was I able to get so close to the water and get everything sharp? I used hyper focal distance concept to get everything in focus.

Do you have an unique perspective on a typical location or terrain? Feel free to share it.

Enjoy & Share.
