So these are all flowers from my yard in Colorado.  I planted most of them last year before I knew we were moving.   I love the different Iris, and really all of them.  Hope the new owners enjoy them.  Hope you do too.

I will really miss the colorado sunrises.  This was taken yesterday morning right before 6 AM, while taking Ethan to Seminary.  I took a bunch hoping google + would make a panorama for me and it did!

I recently read this article and find it to be so true.  Too many of us, me at times, get so caught up in the message that God loves us, that we forget the message that he also wants us to improve ourselves and become more like him.  We were sent here to learn and grow, to find the will of the father, not conform the father to our will.  It is funny because just this morning I was taking with a child and saying, "You want God to help you in the way you want to be helped and if he doesn't then you are mad at him for your temptations.  In other words, you are telling him you know what is best and he needs to do what you want, instead of the other way around."

This is the first Christmas we have ever spent alone.  It was nice in a way, and sad in a way.  Missed family and regular traditions, but was kind of nice to create a few of our own.  We had a regular spiritual program on Chr...

Last year one of the sweetest ladies passed away.  Her husband not long before.  She was like a second mother to me.  Her grandson wrote and sang this song as tribute to them.  I didn't realize he sang.  I knew his dad did.  He has a gorgeous voice.  Enjoy. +Dirk Willden  you'll recognize the couple.

Thank you Kristanne. Your family meant so much to my Grandparents. I'm glad you got to hear the song. I know that it means as much to you as it does to me. We were so blessed to have Grandma and Grandpa Heiner in our lives.

Boy do I agree with this.  I think a lot of times people overreact.    The guy is a jerk, but he said things in his own house, and should not be the subject of so much news  , afte rall others have said worse.

I think the outcome and reaction would be WAY different if it was a black owner saying stuff about white people.  The reaction to Donald Sterling was really way over the top (and yes I agree that he is a jerk...but we should all feel free to speak freely in our own homes).

Happiness is a Choice
Introduction
I am a wife, mother, daughter, aunt etc.  I love the outdoors, gardening, cooking, reading, camping, and other cultures.  I enjoy theater and most of the arts.  I play the piano (and I used to be good at it).  I am a deeply religious person and I belong the the LDS Church.
Bragging rights
I have 4 kids, and sometimes it seems like 5. I overcame my fear of water to become scuba certified. I have gone backpacking with my husband, which is always beautiful but also dreadfully tiring. I have been given many challenges in my life and I'm not dead yet, so I must be doing something right! ;>
