Alden Pond means prime location with excellent accommodations for you and your family in a pet-friendly community. Each spacious 2 or 3 bedroom townhome offers full size washers and dryers, attached garages, vaulted ceilings, beautiful wood burning fireplaces and private patios. Our 2 bedrooms also feature hardwood floors.

I currently live in Alden Pond townhomes and I have mixed feelings about this place. While the maintenance staff are very quick to respond to your written requests (usually same day or next day) they do a VERY poor job. My fiance and I have requested to have our refrigerator fixed twice, and it's still not done. In fact, they told us it was running just fine, even though all of our food in the freezer has frost all over it from the freezer defrosting itself and making loud noises all hours of the day? There is a HUGE problem with bugs and mice here all all places at Alden Pond. My best friend used to live over by the Alden Pond offices, she had caught two mice with traps at her place, and constantly had boxelder bugs crawling all over the livingroom. I had another friend who lived over byt he office and her place got infested with boxelder bugs, and they had to move out and live in a hotel for a week, and go figure the Alden Pond staff said they weren't going to fix it, until my friend got the city of Eagan involved, and then they retracted their statement and fixed it last minute. Needless to say, if you don't like bugs, you probably shouldn't pick this place to live. Granted, the neighborhood is nice, you probably don't have to worry about crime or theft here. In the summer, the Eagan Farmer's market is literally in your back yard, across the street at the Eagan Community Center, so that is a plus. In the winter, don't plan on going anywhere if we get a blizzard, unless you have a snowblower or many hours to shovel your way out. The company that Alden Pond has to come and remove snow, won't come to remove snow until the afternoon. My neighbor called the snow removal company once and asked why they hadn't come to plow our roads yet, and they said "You know, we have other places we need to take care of as well!" and hung up on them. The statement below from the other lady complaining about huge dogs and dog poop all over, is correct unfortunately. We have a neighbor about 3 spots down from us that brings their two huge dogs in in to our yard and lets them pee on the side of our house (we've witnessed this about 20 times) and poop all over in the yard. It specifically states right in our lease that you must clean up after your dog poops, otherwise Alden Pond will fine you $100 for every incident. This is not reinforced, and is very frustrating. Also, don't rent a 3 bedroom unit unless you plan to keep the third bedroom that's right off the guest bathroom empty. It's very poor insulated here, and no matter how high you turn the heat up, it only gets to about 60 degrees. Overall, Alden Pond IS in fact a nice neighborhood to live in, but their poor maintenance and lack of dedication to their tenants requests makes this place a real downer. There is absolutely NOTHING luxury about these places, they should have that saying removed from their sign.

I am alittle blown away by what Roxi Belaire wrote because Alden pond is nothing like that...And if you feel that way then why dont you go buy a house so you won't have to deal with the thin walls? That's apartment living plain and simple. I have lived here for over a year and have had no problems. We go to the pool almost everyday and it is always clean. My only complaint would be the toilets..they are always breaking and the maintance guys come out more then they should have to. Other then that I have a ton of room..my neighbors are nice and management has always been very helpful.
